Grading for Kindergarten through Sixth Grade is explained on the report card. Grading reflects student overall performance in the classroom and mastery toward their grade-level standards. Please see your child’s classroom teacher if you have a specific question regarding grading procedures.
The purpose of the Little Egg Harbor School District Report Card is to provide a communication framework among parents/guardians, teachers, and students that fosters each student's lifelong academic growth and character development. The report card describes a student's progress towards mastery on grade-level standards.
A standards-based report card communicates student progress toward meeting learning
standards. Teachers assess student performance against these learning standards which are specific and observable grade-level skills articulated in Little Egg Harbor School District’s curricula. Standards-based grading provides parents and students with a clear understanding of what is expected at each grade level. With this understanding, parents are better able to guide and support their child and assist him/her to succeed and grow.
Report Cards will be available electronically at the end of each Trimester. Parents can log into OnCourse Connect to view their child’s evidence of mastery and report card grades. If you do not know your login please contact the main office. In addition, if you do not have access to a computer and require a hard-copy report card, please inform the main office.
