• me I had always wanted to be a teacher as I was growing up.  Although my career took a few detours, it wasn’t until I became a mother, volunteered and worked part-time at my children’s school, that I knew I had to follow my dream. I returned to college to obtain my Teaching Certification and Master's Degree through Georgian Court University. I also earned my eMints certification.  eMints is a two-year professional development program that enables teachers to use instructional strategies powered by technology, engage students in learning, and enrich teaching to facilitate learning on a higher level.  I received my Reading Recovery Certification in June 2018 from Ohio State University, and continue to attend ongoing professional development from Reading Recovery leaders as part of the Reading Recovery program.

It is such a thrill to do what I love each day!   As I begin my twelfth year here at GJM, I am so excited to be working with my first graders, and teach them strategies to become successful lifelong readers and writers.
