Hello! My name is Sarah Scheidt and I am a Family Partner here at the ECC. I have a Masters in Social Work from Stockton University and have experience counseling children, teaching social-emotional skills, and connecting individuals with community resources.
I work with families in the home and community. Some of our community events include Playdate at the Park (an outdoor playdate for both children and parents/caregivers with instructor led themed activites and games) and Parent Academy (workshops for parents to learn skills including behavior strategies, social-emotional growth, child development, and conscious parenting.)
On a home visit, I honor the parent or guardian as the principle influence in their child's life. I aim to strengthen that role by sharing strategies that can help them support their child's devleopment and wellness. I can support with topics including behavioral strategies, access to resources, family health and wellness, child development, and parental support.
Parents and caregivers can face many stressors and I want to encourage you that I am here to make this special time in your child's life as fun and growing as possible. Our little ones are like sponges, so let's give them the best of who we are!
Feel free to check out our "ECC Family Connections and Events" Facebook page to stay up to date with events and to connect with others in our ECC community. I look forward to meeting you!
